On April 1, 2024, Ola Electric released a video showing off the Ola Solo, a new technology for scooters. In the video, they demonstrated that with Ola Solo, you don’t have to drive the scooter yourself anymore. Instead, you can sit comfortably on the back seat and enjoy the ride. They also showed that when the scooter’s battery starts running low, it automatically goes to the nearest hypercharger to recharge.

Clarification by the CEO Bhavish Aggarwal
Many people thought it to be a joke but then later another tweet was done by Bhavish Aggarwal on 2nd April stating that:
“Not just an April fools joke!
We announced Ola Solo yesterday. It went viral and many people debated whether it’s real or an April fools joke!
While the video was meant to provide a laugh to people, the technology behind it is something we’ve been working on and have prototyped. It shows the kind of pioneering work our engineering teams are capable of.
Ola Solo is a glimpse into the future of mobility and our engineering teams are working on autonomous and self-balancing tech in two wheelers which you’ll see in future products from us.”

Thus it can be expected that soon such scooters will be out in the market if everything comes out to be good, people would be able to see and use such scooters in the markets.
It is possible in the future you see such scooters moving around on the roads which balance it and to some extent assist in driving for the riders so that it becomes much easier for the learners to drive two-wheelers all around.
Advantages of such Self-Balancing Scooters
