Jaipur, Rajasthan: A 30-year-old lady claims she was gang-raped on Thursday by unidentified individuals, including a doctor, at an IVF clinic in the city, Jaipur.
The woman claimed in her First Investigation Report submitted to the Jawahar Nagar police station that she had attended the clinic for “egg donation” and as she was promised to given money in exchange for her visit.
She took her husband and child to the IVF clinic. She further claimed that during the treatment, which involved giving her injections that made her unconscious, she was brought to an operating room.
The police have filed a FIR under IPC Section 376(D) (gang-rape) in response to the woman’s complaint.
Gyan Chandra Yadav, DCP (East), claimed that Ajmer has submitted no formal police report. He added as well โShe has named three persons, including a doctor, but the identities of the suspects have to be corroborated because she is yet to come to the city for the investigation.โ
DCP Gyan Chandra Yadav continued by saying that after communicating with the woman, the location of the IVF center will be confirmed. In another occurrence in Delhi, it was claimed that a doctor gave some eggs from a patient receiving IVF therapy to two ladies without getting their permission. The National Medical Commission issued the doctor a warning after the incident was made public.
