IAS trainee Puja Khedkar’s parents, Manorama and Dilip Khedkar, are currently on the run after an FIR was filed against them for allegedly threatening a farmer with a pistol.
According to the police, the case was filed after a video surfaced showing Manorama Khedkar brandishing a pistol and threatening villagers in Mulshi taluka of Pune district in June 2023. The police have been trying to contact the accused, but their phones are switched off and they are not available at their residence.
Separate teams of Pune police have been searching for Puja Khedkar’s parents in Pune and nearby areas where they have other residences and farmhouses. The police have also served a notice to Manorama Khedkar, demanding an explanation for the misuse of her firearm license and warning of potential license revocation.
Meanwhile, Puja Khedkar herself has refused to comment on the development, stating that she cannot share any details with the media and will only share information with the committee investigating the case.
