Asta Jonasson, a former assistant of Fast & Furious fame Vin Diesel claims that 13 years ago she was sexually assaulted by the actor. This alleged sexual and battery lawsuit made Vin Diesel the talk of the town.
According to the Guardian report, Vin Diesel’s legal attorney said, “Let me be very clear, Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety. This is the first he has ever heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly nine-day employee. There is clear evidence which completely refutes these outlandish allegations.”
On the other end, Asta allegedly claims that the actor forced himself onto her, assaulted her sexually and the very next day she was fired from her job.
So who is Asta Jonasson?
According to Asta Jonasson’s IMDb account, she is known for her 2022 TV mini-series Five Days Memorial, Let it Fall, and American Crime (2015). She also worked as an assistant for nine days in the One Race in 2010 until she was fired by the company.

According to the Lawsuit, one evening Vin Deisel’s security called Asta that the actor was not answering his phone and after some time he had to leave the hotel.
So Asta was responsible of her to make sure Vin Diesel left the hotel on time. She went to the St. Regis Hotel where Vin Diesel was said in a suit. When she informed her Vin Diesel groped her, and tried to force himself onto her. He warned her not to open the door and jerked in front of her.
Asta Jonasson’s lawyer said, “Terrified, Ms. Jonasson closed her eyes, trying to dissociate from the sexual assault and avoid angering him”
Hours after the alleged assault by Diesel, Jonasson received a call from Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent, terminating her employment although she had received praise for her work, according to the complaint.
The Lawsuit further states, “The message was clear. Ms. Jonasson was fired for courageously resisting Vin Diesel’s sexual assault, Vin Diesel would be protected, and his sexual assault covered up”
Asta Jonasson Lawers stated her emotional state, “Ms. Jonasson felt helpless, her self-esteem was demolished, and she questioned her own skills and whether a successful career would require her to trade her body for advancement.”

So why did Asta Jonasson come years after against Vin Diesel?
Asta revealed further that she was afraid and feared that any legal action taken by her at that time would only cost her. She has seen multiple patterns in which rich and powerful people are always protected and only harm goes to the victim. Ms Jonasson also wanted to avoid all the conflicts where she could have been ostracized by the film industry.
Asta said she witnessed many times in society, “which had a pattern of protecting powerful men and silencing survivors.”
In the Ms Jonasson lawsuit filed against Vin Diesel whose real name is Mark Sinclair and his sister company One Race who was hired as an usher for the actor to guide him out of the hotel.
According to the lawsuit, the incident happened at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta during filming the Fast Five in 2010.
