Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Recruitment Board has issued a notification regarding the UPSC IES ISS Department New Vacancy 2024 for the UPSC Indian Economic Service- IES and Indian Statistical Service-ISS Recruitment 2024. This notification invites all the related aspirants to apply for the examination and aims to fill the vacant positions in the department ensuring the safety and security of the community.

The official notification for UPSC IES ISS came on 10th April, Inviting applications for 48 different vacancies within UPSC. one can apply for the post online by registering at upsc.gov.in. The registration process for the UPSC IES Recruitment 2024 examination has begun from 10 April 2024 and will continue to be filled till 30 April 2024. Categorization of UPSC IES ISS Recruitment 2024

The Services to which recruitment is to be made on the results of this examination and the approximate number of vacancies in the Junior Time Scale of the Services are given below:-

(i) Indian Economic Service – 18 

(ii) Indian Statistical Service – 30

Out of 30 vacancies in the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) exam, 3 are reserved for candidates with disabilities:

• 1 vacancy (including 1 backlog vacancy) is for candidates with a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) or Multiple Disability (MD).
• 1 vacancy is for candidates with Blindness or Low Vision (B/LV).
• 1 vacancy is for candidates with Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH).

Eligibility for UPSC Recruitment 2024

The eligibility criteria for the UPSC IES ISS Recruitment 2024 in terms of various requirements are mentioned below:

Educational Qualifications:

• For the IES Examination, one should have a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized University.
• A candidate for the ISS- Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University.

Nationality:

• A citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before  1st January 1962.
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from different countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, and many more(for detailed information about countries please refer to notification)
