On social media, a horrific video of some guys allegedly beating up a woman at Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar has gone viral. On August 12, a woman was reportedly pulled and kicked by some guys at the Sagar bus stop while pleading for compassion and continuously calling them “bhaiya” (brother).
The mom, who was lost with a 5-month-old baby, is shown in the video being violently treated. She can be seen pleading, “Bhaiya, mujhe mere parivaar se milwa do,” (brother, please help me find my family), in the viral footage, but the mob nevertheless beat her up.

@DGP_MP pic.twitter.com/0AK0P5r2vD
The victim is mentally ill, based on the basis of information. She would slam businesses and passersby while sitting by the roadside. The shop owners asked her to move after noticing how it was affecting their business. The woman objected, though, and began to shout. She was allegedly taken away and beaten by a group of store owners at the bus stop, according to MP, Sagar SP Abhishek Tiwari.
The MP Youth Congress released the video on X (previously Twitter), alleging that the shopkeeper became abusive and physically aggressive because the mother had purchased milk for her young child but had forgotten to pay for it.
The Gopalganj Police Station has opened an inquiry and filed a case in response to the viral video.
