New Delhi, Jagran Correspondent: Panic spread at the IGI airport on Friday morning when information was received about a bomb on a Vistara flight traveling from Delhi to Pune.
Upon receiving the bomb threat, immediate action was taken, and all the passengers were evacuated from the flight. Their luggage was also offloaded. The plane is being inspected on one side of the airport. Information about the bomb on the flight was received at the GMR call center.
Police shared this significant information: After the threat of a bomb, the police have reported that the initial investigation has not found anything suspicious. However, a complete investigation is still pending.
The bomb threat was received for Vistara’s UK-971 aircraft: The security agency has informed that the bomb threat was for Vistara’s UK-971 aircraft, which was to fly from Delhi to Pune. At the time, there were more than 100 passengers on board, and they and their luggage were evacuated.Passengers are waiting in the terminal: Currently, the passengers are in the terminal, and they have been provided with refreshments. As per SOP, the plane cannot take off again until it gets clearance from the security agencies. Once clearance is received, the plane will be dispatched to Pune.
