Pepperfry co-founder and CEO Ambreesh Murty died at the age of 51 in Leh due to cardiac arrest. Ashish Shah, fellow co-founder of Pepperfry, shared the news of hisAmbreesh Puri’s demise through a tweet on Tuesday.
Ashish Shah mentioned, “Extremely devastated to inform that my friend, mentor, brother, soulmate @AmbareeshMurty is no more. Lost him yesterday night to a cardiac arrest at Leh. Please pray for him and strength to his family and near ones,”
After hearing the announcement of Ambreesh Murty’s demise, a user wrote, “So sad & shocking to hear of Ambareesh Murty’s sudden demise due to cardiac arrest. May his soul rest in peace. He is an amazing entrepreneur & inspiration to many… may his legacy with Pepperfry live on. RIP.”
Ambreesh Murty started his career with Cadbury, a famous chocolate brand in India. Murty joined Cadbury as Marketing and Sales expert. He worked in Cadbury for five and a half years. Before launching Pepperfry, he had a successful corporate career. Ambareesh worked as a Country Manager for eBay India, the Philippines, and Malaysia from March 2008 to June 2011 and as the Director of Marketplace Development & User Experience from December 2005 to February 2008. Before it, from June 2005 to December 2005, he was the Marketing Manager of Britannia Industries. Aside from that, he worked as Brand Leader for Levi Strauss India Ltd. from August 2003 to December 2003 and as VP of Marketing and Customer Service for ICICI Prudential from October 2001 to August 2001.
However, in 2012 Ambreesh established his own company Pepperfry with his friend Ashish Shah. Both Ambreesh and Ashish was executive of eBay,
