The Gruesome YouTube VideoĀ
Mohn faces charges for not only beheading his father, 68-year-old Michael F. Mohn but also for uploading a disturbing video to YouTube.
In the video, Mohn displayed his father’s head, which was inside a blood-stained plastic bag within a cooking pot, and ominously stated, “Violence is the only answer to the federal government’s betrayal.” He also announced, “This is the head of Mike Mohn, who worked for the federal government for more than 20 years and was my father. He is eternally in hell as a traitor to his country.”
Police were called to the scene on the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive around 7 p.m. following reports of a decapitated body. This happened after the victim’s wife returned home and found him beheaded and covered in blood.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered the body of the victim in the bathroom on the first floor, with his head inside a plastic bag in a kitchen pot placed in a bedroom on the same floor.
The police also found blood-stained rubber gloves in an upstairs bedroom, along with a machete and a large kitchen knife in the bathtub.
Middletown Township Police Captain Pete Feeney remarked, “As far as the crime itself, it’s not something we typically see here.”
The police reported that the YouTube video, over 14 minutes long and titled “Mohn’s Militia: Call to Arms for American Patriots,” featured Justin Mohn lifting his father’s decapitated head and naming him. The police noted that it seemed Mohn was reading from a script while he expressed strong criticism about the government.
Disturbing YouTube Video removed due to policy breach.
The troubling 14-minute video, surprisingly available on YouTube for six hours after being posted at 5:30 pm, was eventually taken down. Its removal followed the police finding a decapitated body in the bathroom of the Mohn family home, after receiving a call to the house just after 7 pm.
Chief Joe Bartorilla of the Middletown Police Department acknowledged the shocking find and mentioned the community’s awareness of Mohn and his family. The family, including Justin Mohn, his parents, and siblings, lived in the home, which is valued at $390,000.
Ā Although the family engaged in business activities, such as running a cleaning company and a literacy program, there is no verified information about Michael Mohn’s employment with the federal government.

Justin Mohnās Arrest
The police were successful in tracking Mohn by locating his cell phone signal at Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County, approximately 100 miles from where the crime occurred. The local police then secured the area.
Further search efforts led to a second ping from his cell phone, this time near the western edge of the facility. Upon reaching this location, officers found the Toyota Corolla abandoned.
The emergency call was made by the victim’s wife, stated the prosecutor’s office. “Upon arrival, officers found the deceased male in the bathroom. The victim’s adult son was not at the scene when the police arrived and had left the area in his father’s car.”
Mohn was later located inside the fort. He had climbed over the fence, as confirmed by Angela Watson, the Communications Director for the Pennsylvania National Guard, and was found carrying a firearm. The reasons for his presence in that specific area remain unclear.
He was arrested at the Fort Indiantown Gap base, where the Pennsylvania National Guard headquarters is located, just after 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Watson.
