Emergency services confirmed her passing at 9:37 am, with the police determining no suspicious circumstances. Identification was made using her driving license and with family present at the scene. A preliminary cause of death was reported as hanging by a pathologist.

The investigation was delayed, and samples were taken for further analysis. Police visited her café, Cotswold Sandwich Box, but found nothing suspicious. A family friend mentioned Gillian’s discovery at home, which devastated James.

James and Gillian never officially tied the knot. There were indications of changes in their relationship visible on social media. Gillian had been battling health issues and had a difficult kidney transplant. She had previously praised her family’s support during tough times.
