Noida Police has escalated its investigation onto popular motivational speaker Vivek Bindra following allegations of assault by his wife. They visited his residence in Sector 94 to gather evidence, speaking with the complex’s security guards and retrieving CCTV footage.

Vivek Bindra’s brother-in-law, Vaibhav, filed a case against him on December 14, accusing him of assaulting his wife Yanika. Allegedly, Yanika sustained severe injuries, specifically in the ear, through which she was not able to hear clearly. Vivek got married to her on December 6, 2023, and physically assaulted her the next day (December 7, 2023).
Reasons for the Physical Assault
According to Yanikaโs lawyer, Mr Bindra assaulted Ms. Yanika out of anger when she stepped in between the heated argument between her mother and Vivek. Yanika’s brother filed a case against him on December 22 and stated that Vivek locked himself in a room with his sister, verbally abused her first, and then physically attacked her.”. He further added that the accused also damaged Yanika’s mobile phone during the incident.
Current Status of the Case
The police have charged Vivek Bindra under Sections 498A (cruelty against a woman by husband or relatives), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult leading to disturbance of peace), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
As of now, he hasn’t been arrested and is evading the police. Raids are being conducted at his home and workplace to arrest him. Additionally, the authorities are questioning his family, friends, and associates to gather further details regarding the case.
