During the hundi counting procedure on Wednesday, an anonymous guy accidentally put a rs 100 Crore cheque into the hundi of the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Simhachalam, confusing the officials.
The devotee had only Rs. 17 in his bank account, which was later discovered.
The officials said that although they were initially perplexed by such a sizable payment, closer inspection revealed that neither the date nor the amount on the cheque had been written correctly.
The bank’s staff then provided information about the depositor based on the account number on the cheque and informed them of the account’s balance.
According to officials, this is not the first time such an incident has occurred because they have previously received such a cheque.
