The India U19 team is set for the next project against Australia from September 21 to October 10, as part of a planned tour of Australia to play three One Day games alongside two multi-day matches. Ayush Mhatre will return again as the captain, guiding the India U19 team after winning hearts in England as the young squad claimed the Youth One-Day series 3-2. The Mhatre-led team finished the two-match Test series in a draw.
The India U19 18-member squad contains little bit changes as Abhigyan Kundu, wicketkeeper-batter who served as the vice-captain in the last tour, will hand over this duty to Vihaan Malhotra. Besides Kundu, more players hold their place in the squad again, including Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, R.S. Ambrish, Anmoljeet Singh and Rahul Kumar.

A notable player, Khilan Patel, who was left out of the England tour following a sustained stress concern in his right leg, will make a comeback. Other prominent additions are – Aman Chauhan, Kishan Kumar and Udhav Mohan. Naman Pushpak and D. Deepesh, who were made available as replacement players, Khilan Patel and Aditya Rana, against England, have cemented their place in the renewed squad to play against Australia. In this fresh team, Harvansh Singh and Abhigyan Kundu will be available as wicketkeepers.
The opening match begins on September 21, taking place at Norths, where all three One Days will be played along with the first multi-day game, scheduled for September 30 to run till October 3. The Mackay will host the second multi-day match from October 7-10.
